Both mine and my g/f's from AM are fine. I don't think you could tell the diff between the various manufacturers.

All of the plug 'n play install the same. Very easy. The rear panel in the trunk is easily removed providing easy access and removal of the tailight assemblies. Each OE harness simply unplugs from the assemblies and the cable. Simply swap the bulbs from the OE harness to the sequential harness and reverse the process to reassemble. You'll look funny frequently standing behind the car with the 4-ways on but you'll love them. You'll also watch your rearview mirror for people's reaction when you use a turn signal. Great visual mod.

What is the lone green wire used for on each side? (Picture on the AM site) It looks like it needs to be crimped to something...

I'm not familiar with the pic you're referring to but I've installed 2 plug 'n play units and there is no crimping or cutting.

Has anyone tried the Scott Drake ones? Apparently there's five chase patterns available.

+1 on the Web Electric. Got them from Brenspeed. Installed them in about 20 mins and they are working great.

I don't recall seeing a wire like that when I did my installs. Regardless, NO splicing or cutting with the plug 'n play.
