Default Body kit owners chime in

So I am starting the mods on my 05 Vert and decides to start with the looks stuff because my son wants to go to car shows and i thought it would be fun to do together. I have decided on the Xenon aggressive kit. I like the smooth lines and its not too ricey and doesn't change things too much from the stock look. anyhow, can any of your guys with body kits tell me what sort of price range I should be looking at for an install and paint on the front bumper, back, and side skirts. I am also getting a Foose hood and ducktail spointer. i want to paint the center section of the hood black liek the 69 mach 1's. Any ideas on what sort of price i should be looking at. I have never had body work done and i don't want to get ripped off. Thanks!

Also I know i could probably do some of the install myself, but I have more money than time at this point and just prefer to have it done. Thanks again!

Hey,

I just got mine done. I did everything you mentioned except the hood. It cost me about 1400 for paint and installation.

Mine was 4K for everything and that inc 3 coats of clear to have no edges on the stripes. So the only thing that was not repainted/cleared were the doors front fenders and rear quarters. The hood, side skirts, rear valance, window louvers, and side scoops, 3 piece ducktail spoiler and the whole top of the car had some sort of paint work done to it.......wet sanding after to a mirror shine.....I am very pleased and not sure the color of your car but black is more expensive as it shows every flaw.

So I would venture anywhere from 1500-2000 bucks....

Pascal and bodyman can help as they own paint and bodyshops

Yeah I like that one too, but in the end I decided on something a bit simplier with clenaer lines. I really wanted the Foose complete kit and I found it. the catch was that the kits aren't compelte and you can't reuse the hardware or lights for the front bumper and would have had to fabricate a way to hold the front bumper cover and side skirts on the car. I thought the smooth lines of the Xenon aggressive kit was about as close to that Foose look as I could get.

MYGT500, I love your car, that is hands down one of my favorite kits on the Mustang. Thanks for the feedback guys, $2K is about what I expected. My car is satin silver is that matters, are metallic colors more expensive? I am also thinking I will have them shave the GT badges and fix a few chips and dings around the car at the same time. I am sure that will add a bit to the cost.
