So I've been thinking about doing the whole GT500 front fascia conversion when I came across the T1 front bumper. It's basically the same thing with the exception being the headlight/upper grille area and costs a lot less.
I'm not quite sure about it yet though and would like to know what others think of it.

I like it, but not as much as my GT500 conversion. Trufiber makes great stuff though. I would prefer the delete the fogs if it was mine though. Bullit grille or something.

i really like it, yes the gt500 is sexy as all get out but this retains the value of a gt or v6 front end. i think this is a good compromise. i say go for it. where did you find this at btw and how much does it cost

Srolo, I have thought about doing something like this as well($$$).
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong(never torn into the front bumper)...But is the only difference between the two bumpers just the 'slanted headlights'? IMO from what I can tell everything else is pretty much identical(visually)
It just LOOKS like something that could be 'fabricated' if that's the only real difference...even on the real 500 bumper, the 'slanted headlight beams'(whatever you wanna call them) are just sticking up and not structurally integral to holding 'up' the bumper/headlights/hood?
This is just the 'what if' part of me thinking....why can't we just heat those suckers up and just 'bend' them at a slight angle
heh I was with the owner of that car when he was taking those pictures (my car is actually parked about 10 feet to the rear-left of his car casting that shadow in the picture).
it's a bitchin setup. definitely a nice alternative to the $1800+ GT500 fascia.
I don't like it, too smiley. Even looks like it has teeth

Doesn't look very balanced. What's cool about the GT500 fascia is that the upper and lower grille look like one large opening with the bumper across it. The width of the top of the lower grille and the bottom of the upper grille are aligned. It has a visual continuity that the T1 is lacking. The problem is worse with the comparison to suoperdave84's sig right below your pic. Next to suoperdave84's nice clean tasteful lines the T1 looks like an awkward teen with a smile fulla braces.
Just being honest here.
