I knew someone who had the 4" cowl on his car and it was way too much. He let me sit in the driver's seat one time while it was installed so I could see what it was like and you couldn't see anything but the back of the cowl.

JMO, but I wouldn't go taller than 2 1/2 or so. This is one of those cases where "less is more".

I'll definately post up some progress pics as I install - I've ALWAYS wanted a 4" hood from back in the fox body days - come on you all remember what a 5.0 looks like with a 4" on it. I had to go this route with my 07 - everyone puts a GT500 hood or something you've seen 100 times already - I haven't seen one 4" running around yet so .... - thanks for all the opinions

Maybe someone can post actual pics with 4" cowl hoods on an S-197? Or add a link to where we can see them? I do feel 4" may be a bit much.
