Playing Devil's Advocate here...there are plenty of people who would gladly pay for convenience if all they had to do was connect a couple wires, drill a hole, and have a working product. If you ask me, he's not making much of a profit after parts, tax, shipping, and his labor are factored in. I think if someone wants to pay him to make one, that's their choice. I personally made one for myself a while ago, but can easily see why someone will pay for the convenience of having a premade switch delivered to their door. IMO.

No different then Standmods charging $50 for the convenience of precutting headlight tint, when it reality it probably cost them less then $5 for the materials and $3 to ship. I would say making $5-6 after materials, taxes and shipping is pretty reasonable. It's hard to criticize someone from exploiting a group when that person is providing a service that someone else is perfectly willing to pay for, especially if they know what goes into that service and are still willing to pay for it.

Don't come in someone else's thread and start bashing their price. Keep what you have to say about the price to yourself.

I bought one and gladly paid the $25.00. Maybe I'm just lazy or not very thoughtful, but I didn't hesitate to buy the trunk release. Lets see, $15.00 in parts, $3.00 shipping. So I paid someone $7.00 to go to the dealership, buy the parts, figure out how to do it, package it, go to the post office, and tell me something I didn't know. Well worth every dime. Some may call me a sucker, or a fool, but I paid a price that I thought was fair.

Thanks for offering something I needed and never thought about doing myself.

Business or pleasure. I'm sure you'll go to Barber to the 45th Ann. of Mustang. I live about 15 minutes from there and my wife works there. She called me about 15 minutes ago and she said that mustangs have both lanes of Barbers blocked all the way to the interstate. About 2 miles.

I'm sure we'll pass at some point.

If you go in the Museum, ask for Kim.

If you try doing this yourself and probe the wrong wires to tap into I think you could be out a lot more than 7.00.I think it's worth more than that saving you the leg work and time to figure out which wire to tap.Just look how he drilled to close on the plastic and damaged it that gives you a ideal not what to do on yours.
