Hi guys... Sold my car. Buyer did not want the tuner, but kept the car tuned for 93 octane. (Real smart, go figure) I have the SCT Xcal2 tuner for sale. It is "locked" so you have to spend the 85-150 bucks to unlock it. Asking $100 shipped. Still a better deal than $379 brand new. PM if interested.

My apologies... The unlocking fee from most tuners is 85-150 dollars, not the 60 that I thought it was. Just checked with VMP and the cost to unlock it is $85 supposedly. SCT charges 150. higher. Therefore dropping asking price for a locked SCT XCal2 tuner to $100 shipped. Still a better deal that getting a brand new one at $379. Not trying to BS anyone.... I did say it was LOCKED. Thanks..

^+1. that would be much more appealing to a buyer to have it already done. I know you could get it too. I just sold a diablo tuner for $275 in no time.

That's the plan. The only thing that sucks is I have a dentist apointment in the morning. Hopefully all the numbing sh1t wears off quick so I don't look like a retard drooling on myself.

Yeah, I know... But I figure 100 bucks locked. To unlock 150 from SCT, then we're back at 250-275 range. I really don't feel like doing it now anyway. Might just keep it as a cool paperweight for now. I'm busy with my 306, 89GT project car, before the winter hits us here in CT.

100 for a locked tuner is too much money.
They are worth 50.00 tops..
100.00 for the tuner +
150.00 to sct +
20.00 shipping to SCT +
20.00 shipping FROM SCT +
100.00 for a tune file, because SCT ERASED the device before sending it back
380.00 before you can actually WRITE a tune to your car..
your right back to the cost of a new device!
I can assure you that Justin @ VMP doesn't appreciate you posting his "Unlock Deal" on a public website, because there is no way he can be legally unlocking Xcals cheaper than SCT does.
The SCT dealers dont even have this ability, they have to ship them back to SCT.
SO.. with your post, you've probaby gotten a pretty hot fire lit under Justin's AZZ without even knowing it.
I'll give you 50.00 shipped, only because it will still read and clear trouble codes.. in it's current state
