What is the part number on this driveshaft? just curious as they have twodifferent versions of the driveshaft for the 05 + GT the first is CD60350HD and the second is CD60350 and there is a significant difference both in price and performance.

The weight is approximately 17lbs. I bought it used and don't remember how long the prior owner used it. I have only used it for about 3 months now. It will work for either auto or manual transmissions. I used it on a manual and it did not vibrate. Please PM me for shipping quotes.

This is the standard 4.0" driveshaft and not the heavy duty one.

Sharkbait20 the difference is mainly in the strength ratings. The first part number is rated at up to 500HP and the second is the same as the GT500 driveshaft from the same company and is rated at 700+ HP. So mainly it is the strength rating on the shaft. One thing to consider on this whoever get this driveshaft is the use of driveshaft loops. Now this is all subject to the amount of horsepower your ride is putting to the ground but just the same the driveshaft can casue a lot of damage to your car if it comes apart. I have read horror stories of it coming up through the bottom of the car and just ripping things to shreads when it comes apart. So be ready to "Strap it down" if you start putting a lot of power to the wheels. You can pick this one up at American Muscle for $109.00 plus free shipping: Competition Engineering Mustang Driveshaft Safety Loop (05-10) but if you do not have a lot of horsepower (425+) to the rear wheels you are pretty safe I would guess.

ya my buddy has told me about how a d/s loop can save your d/s from shredding through your floor pan if you blow a u-joint. Are the ratings 500 horse MAX or "about" that? lol
for install do new u-joints need to be replaced?
