It will NOT work work the Shaker 1000 rear sub. I have done this exact mod. You can get a signal from another speaker but it is not the same as the dedicated rear subwoofer source coming out of the head unit. None of the nav units have this dedicated source according to my dealer. I got it to work but it is not as powerful as before so I would need a new amp. Hope this was helpful.

I wouldnt wate your time speaking with the dealer, they know Nothing about the radios. United radio does all the work for ford, not the dealers them self. Anyway feel free to contact them at Toll-free: 800-634-8606.. You need to speak to the sales dept. They guaranteed that it will work....

No I need to be be more specific. It will work but your subwoofer in the trunk will not work as there is NO SUB OUT on Nav radios. Sorry if I was misleading. Just spent about a year trying dealers and audio stores to get this thing going

All I know is United radio does the work for Ford, they said that with the Vin# they can pull the hex codes and match the unit correctly to someones car. They say that it will power the amps correctly on either the 500 or the 1000. Im not a tech but they are the experts when it comes to the radio, not Ford... If they say that it will work, then im guessing that it will...

As I stated before, call united radio and see what they tell you.. Would you take your mustang to a kia dealer and ask them to troubleshoot it??
