Default tire pressure question

This has probably been asked before but hopefully you guys can help me out. I have 17 in Pirellis on my car, the tire says max inflation is 51 lbs, the sticker on the inside of the car door says 60 lbs What do you guys run with your cars?

Default RE: tire pressure question

I run 32-35 all around, decent traction, decent gas mileage, decent ride. If you ran 51 or even 60 psi youd probably have a car that rode like it had concrete wheels...lol Not only that, your traction would SUCK. Also, your tire wear would not be good. Too much pressure and youll wear the center of the tire down faster than the edges. Too little pressure and youll wear the edges faster than the center, thus giving uneven wear.

Pony girl -- take a look at your door sticker again, 60 sounds very high and out of the ordinary for the recommended tire pressure.
