On the Pony Package 17x9 wheels, what's the widest tire than can safely fit on these wheels? I just got an X-Charger, and I'm thinking I want to get some wider tires for the rear end.....

I've got 275's on my 17x9's... they look good... You could probably go 285 if you could find the right sized tire...

I saw this tire sizer on a post somewere.I have the235/55/17 Perelliand was thinking 265/50/17 on the rear would be a good choice. All dimensions very veryclose except width.

Probably a stupid question, but is there a reason to not have the same wheel and tire combination on all four wheels? I've looked at some 18x10 Deep Dish Black Bullitts and now I'm wondering if this size up front causes a problem.

wider tires will give worse fuel economy, and wider tires up front will make it harder to turn. as well as be more weight for the suspension to control
On the 2007 V6, the stock wheels are 16" with a P215/65R16 tire. If I go to a 17" after market wheel for a better look, what width should I consider maximum before I start to seriously impact fuel economy and turning ability? I'm still thinking that having all 4 wheels and tires the same, would allow for periodic rotation. Comments?

yes it would allow for rotation but it is also very popular to have wider tires in the rear... also if youre spending the money on wheels and tires why not 18's i love the look of mine

I may be wrong, but I think the pony package wheels are 17x8's.
