Does anyone make a brake upgrade kit for our 6ers? like rotors, calipers, pads?

Default RE: brake upgrade kit

depending on your rim size wildwood makes brakes for us.....
i got 17 bullits (chrome ) i was told only one kind of wildwoods would fit, & if i wanted bigger brakes i needed to get bigger rims....i dont think that brakes for our cars are related to anything other than rim size..i could be wrong tho.... but check for wildwood brakes they are pretty good i hear....peeps i met with them seem to like them....also it depends on your application as to what to get...my pony is a daily driver.....if your going to race and stuff you might want to get bigger brakes and racing type roters and pads....but wildwood would be a good starting point....

wildwood, ok. are they reasonably priced? mine is a daily driver, but as far as brakes go, i guess i'm looking for a good brand that is fairly cheap (price-wise lol). heard that as far as price and performance go, hawk pads and rotorpros rotors are tough to beat. what about calipers though?

GT takeoffs are a cheap brake upgrade for our cars. Mine are currently being put on. High end, $150 for the whole kit.

i just read that thread and think i found my next performance mod....the reviews seem to be pretty positive....anyone here done this? opinons and differences in drivablity etc....id like more than one opinion...but im gonna bring this up with my dealer at my next service.....and i am considering painting the new ones.....heh

course now i got a question...wouldnt you need new calipers and pads too? or justthe bracket and roters? i would think you would need bigger calipers too....and after reading even if this were the case it sounds cheaper than keeping the v6 brakes on.....as occording to the thread gt brakes are cheaper....heh go figure

GT takeoffs are 12.4 inch versus 11.5(V6). Rear V6 and V8 is the same at 11.8 inch. Front calipers and pads are the same. You need 2 caliper brackets part #6R3Z-2B134-B,the same left and right. Any Ford dealer. newtakeoffs.com for the rotors. New pads, your choice. 17 inch wheels or bigger only. 16s will not work. BINGO!! better brakes.
