So does the gt500 clunk too? I know I would be really pissed if I bought a 50K car that clunked. Anyway, so the recommendation is to go with the black stud? Great, another $130. I'm tired of spending money replacing factory parts on a car w/less than 70K. One of these days I would like to be able to spend money on some aftermarket stuff. Oh well I guess I'll just keep giving ford money for stuff they should've got right the first time.

Yes (knocks on wood). And, in addition, I have since lowered the car. I'm running the black-stud strut mounts and Eibach camber bolts with no thunk whatsoever. I used the Ford Racing "K" springs.

I just got my new strut mounts in from rock auto, they sent me one black stud and one gold stud. Other than painting them so they will match should I worry about it? Oh and do the K springs ride good? I'm about to lower mine and just wondering what spring I should go with for the best ride and the least amount of trouble...ie additional parts
