Default Tire/Wheel Combo Weight

Does anyone know the weight of the stock 18" Bullit polished aluminum wheel with the stock BFG KDW tires? Before I consider replacements, I want to make sure I do not increase the rotational mass and lose power.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If they are anything like the fanblades I got rid of, they are HEAVY! I weighed one of my fanblades with the stock bfgoodrich tire on it and it was over 50 lbs. I immediately sold them and found a set of the machine faced 17s. They are the lightest factory wheels that came on the S197 GTs.

1 pound more rotating mass weight on a wheel is like adding 10 pounds to your car, times that by 4 for all 4 wheels equals 40 pounds just for 1 pound increase in weight! big difference...so yea lighter wheels can be a HUGE weight reduction and a lot of people dont realize how big of a difference it can be

Not quite 10 lbs, more like 2-3 lbs.

Its more of a weight reduction effecting suspension dymanics not weight of the car.

&lt\\;P&gt\\;If you had either one or both off the car and can weigh it, it would be very helpful.&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;thanks&lt\\;/P&gt\\;

If you're worried about losing power, then just get a blower to make up for it. Then you can have any size/style wheels you want, and still be MUCH faster than stock.
