... I launched the car off the kink after 15, 14, 13 because I got on it way too hard but luckily the ground if pretty forgiving off track over there.
So what do you want to do, go off even faster next time?

I start thinking about r-compound tires after every track day and, so far, realized that all they do is make the car faster - not me.

If I get a little closer to wheel-to-wheel then I might start running them for practice, but I'm just leaving too much out there now to step up.

Disclaimer: I've already signed up for The Driver's Edge event in January. They have me in red and I just about get run over. So I'm sure I'll be ready to go to r-compounds again after that weekend!

Well, I don't think I'm going to step up to Hoosiers but definitely I want something with more grip than KDWs. I think a lot of my traction issues were due to low track temps but I do know I want grippier tires. I may just do the Jan Driver's Edge, my buddy is urging me to do it.

I've been thinking about doing the January Driver's Edge event. I'm going to do my brake upgrades and a few other goodies over Christmas and I know I'm going to be aching to stretch its legs

In another post someone once said that summer tires like the KDWs are "like stones" below about 50 degrees.
