I have some 295/45/R18 nt05s on the way. Got a couple 255/45/R18 invo to go up front. This is replacing the stock pirelli setup.

One thing I forgot to ask about before getting these was whether or not the 255mm tires in the front will inhibit the turning radius of the car or if they will rub or not. Since what's done is done I'm hoping it won't be a problem.

I have 4.10 gears going in today so I am very anxious to see how the car feels with these nt05 in the rear. I'm hoping they will stick pretty good and make launching the car easier - even with the new gears.

My winter tires are 255/45/18 all round and they don't rub, even on a lowered car.

+1 from sleeper 08. i too have 255's up front and am lowered 1.5" in front. no rub or turning radius affected. that is the stock tire width on the Gt500, so all is good.

I've had the NT-05's on my rears for about a month now. Love them! Previously I've had BFG KDW 2's and the Nitto DR. They hook a lot better than the BFG's but not as well as the DR's (to be expected). I'm hoping they last longer than my DR's (6 months)...but time will tell. I've been very pleased so far.

I was at the same autoX event that MM&FF was at testing these tires:

(I'm the blue Mach of course)

They were in love with the tires. They seemed to be doing very well on the AutoX events and they said they just completed a road trip from NJ to FL with them. They handled well on the highway both in dry weather and in the rain.

Well I just got mine put on yesterday morning. Haven't had much of a chance to do anything with them. Still some soap on the tires from when they mounted them. Here's a few pictures. The car is at stock height.

No closeups of the Invo on the front yet.

Damn, the grooves didn't look that deep on any of the pics. Those are some major grooves! Water channeling is good I assume.

I like the looks of those tires and if the wear of my 555r's are any indication those grooves won't look like grooves in about 3 months .

Are those 295/45 on 18's Rip? Trying to read the sidewall.

Yep 255/45/R18 on the front (invo) and 295/45/R18 on the back (nt05).

Those 295/45/18 are very tall. I remember checking the overall diameter and it was 28.5". That will knock down your effective gear ratio. That is actually a scenario I wouldn't mind.
