Looking into new tires and I've been looking at an all season Falken (ZIEX ZE-912), anyone know how well this brand holds up on our cars?
Thanks for the replys and opnions.

Falkens 451s and 452s are awesome bang for the buck but they are only for summer time. The Falken 912s seems to be pretty popular too but I've never used them.
look into the Sumitomos htrz III they are awesome, cheap and last forever in the extreme heat like arizona. im from so. texas so i now what it is like.

Just how hard do you drive this car, and what sort of "feel" do you want from it? If you frequently take corners hard, there are more satisfying tires available.
I'm sure that the 912 is an entirely adequate tire in terms of average normal driving behavior and performance. Note that Falken positions the tire as "All Season Performance", which I think freely translates as "All Season capability" first and hardcore performance somewhat lower. My understanding is that this tire is based on but an improvement over the ZE512, which was a decent tire for the money in terms of measured performance but rather unsatisfying as far as steering response is concerned.
Both the 512 and the 912 list treadwear ratings for various sizes at 360, and if most of your "normal" driving isn't all that hard, you might expect to get 36,000 miles or a bit more from them. But don't let promises or "guarantees" of long tread life be the overriding reason for choosing tires. Sometimes, when you need all the grip you can find, promises of long tread life suddenly become very UNimportant.

Thanks for the reply. When I'm by myself (no kids in the car) I tend to drive kind of hard I guess. I have a couple of turns near my house that I like to take at sometimes 2x or more than the posted speed. I really would like tires that handle better than the stock bfg kdws (235/50-18) and can last at least 25,000 mi. which is what I got from stock (I need tires this month w/in a couple weeks).
I also need a tire that works in the wet and the cold temps of Tucson, AZ. as I drive it everyday, and love it.
What would be your choice? I think I looking for staying with the stock size or going to 255/45-18's so that I can rotate them in an attempt to get the max mileage from what ever tire. I also like the look and performance of a road course car over the stagger of a drag car.

The cold weather requirement makes it a bit tougher - I'd looked into GY Eagle F1 Asymmetrics in 255/45-18 on 9.5" wide wheels for summer use and keeping the BFGs for the cold season. Most of the good cornering tires seem to be "summer, not intended for use in cold weather, on ice or in snow".
The really grippy ones (ex. Nitto NT-05) are only 200-ish treadwear with only 7/32 or 8/32 tread depth. Those tires probably won't make your 25,000 mile target even though the 200TW suggests that maybe they should. If I get a total of 5,000 miles out of the set of generally similarly intended (and 200TW) Falken Azenis RT615's that I use mostly for autocross with a limited amount of street driving thrown in (Mazda 626), I'll consider myself more than fortunate.
If you can live with a tire size that's a little shorter than the OE sizes (26.7" vs 27" or so), Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Positions come in 245/45-18 and they seem to be a decent enough tire (I have them in 225/50-17 on my wife's '01 Maxima).
I guess that I should have clairified 'cold' temps. It's more like the overnite temp will reach mid 30's the occassional freezing but the morning/ day temps will go back up into the 50-60's, we generally see about a 15-30 degree temp swing depending on the time of year.
My current wheel width is 8.5. I thought that 255/45 would fit? I had plans on getting the 05-09 gt500 wheels this year but my accountant (wife) shot down that idea until I get her new floors in the house.
I'll take a look at the GY and the Falken 615. How are the Mich. pilot a/s plus'?
Thanks,
E

They will, albeit at the narrow end of the range of widths.
I only mentioned the 245/45's because the RE960AS does not come in the 255/45-18 size, 245-45 being the closest available there.

The Falken RT615's are not likely to give you 25k miles, assuming they even come in an appropriate size. No idea about the Michelins, as I have never run them on anything (sorry).
