Default 16" Wheels on a GT?

Does anyone know if the 16" wheels that come on the V6 Mustang will fit over the larger GT front brakes? I found a guy locally selling all 4 wheels and tires with 70% tread left for $150 and I may be able to talk him down further. I'm thinking of picking them up for AutoXing so that I don't blow through my good tires. I'm not competitive, so it's just for fun and I need extra rubber to burn. If anyone knows for sure one way or the other, that would be great.

Plenty of people have 15" bogarts for their slicks I imagine it would just take the proper spacers.

The rear isn't the problem - the V6 and GT have the same brakes and rotors in the rear.

Up front, the GT rotor is bigger and uses a different bracket to move the caliper out further to clear the bigger rotor. That bracket makes it so that the 16" wheel won't clear the front GT rotor and caliper.

spacers on track wheels or at the track are fine, I know several top Spec Miata racers with podium finishes that run spacers. In fact they even drill them to remove material for weight reduction. As long as they're made from a forged peiece of the correct material spacers won't fail.

That's good to know, but it would probably be less expensive and easier to change a set of 17's than having to put the spacers on each time i want to use the 16's.
