This dealership doesn't provide a rental. I asked about it and they said Nope. The only option I had was to use Enterprise and just rent a car for the week. Which I'm not going to do.

Socalwrench,

I already replaced the factory rims/wheels on my car. My car now has 18x9.5" Steeda Ultra Lite Rims with Nitto Drag Radial tires. So I'm not really looking to get rid of them anytime soon.

Those had to be bent from day one...
I was gonna say that the dealer is full of schit but since they're taking care of it, it's not the case now.

Which dealer is it?

Damn things. LOL But I like my rims so I'm not getting rid of them.

NOW, I would agree that severely damaged or defective wheels that are out of balance could cause some problems. HOWEVER, this usually eats up axle bearings, not the axle shafts. Rare, but possible.
I will call BS. Get as far away from that mechanic as you can.
He likes to lie to people who dont know a thing bout cars
and profits from it as well.. Shame on him. Pickle farmer I call em.
I'll be dipped in vinegar.
The offset of the rim has very little effect on axle bending forces.
The OEM rims are not "center mounted" or what ever he calls
it. He is not even using the proper terminology for tires/rims.
The 16x7" OEM rims have 39mm of offset.
The 17x7.5" OEM rims have 45mm of offset.
and the 18x8.5" OEM rims have 50mm of offset.
Have him splain that one to you.
Whats the offset of the rims he says is bending axles?
Besides inside gravity is better than overhung outside gravity.
As he would put it. His thinking is out of whack.
Back to physics class for that guy...
Good thing there is a forum
Now you can keep the rims and know that its actually
a better situation load wise on the axles than OEM rims...

LOL I had no intention of getting rid of the rims. I'm very happy with them and they look great with the 14" Calipers.

So far Courtesy has been pretty good aside from the higher prices. I usually take my car to Lamotta Performance. They do great work for about half the price.

Send me a PM with your name and contacts at Don Reid. I'll definitely keep them in mind if I need to have to work and get a hassle from Coutesy.

Where did you get 14" calipers and how big does the rotor need to be to fit them?

You must mean 14" rotors and not 14" calipers?

I don't know anything about cars, but aren't these the calipers? I have the 14" Brembo Brake Kit on the car.

Lets see, I see a S197, a tire, a rim, a caliper and a rotor in that picture.
Yes, one of those items is a caliper.
The 14" refers to the rotors diameter.
Calipers are specified differently and not in inches....
2 piston full floating, 4 piston full floating, 6 piston full floating
and so on. So it still stands that those are not 14" CALIPERS.
14" rotors, maybe.
Whats the reason behind all those holes drilled into your ROTORS?
Thats where they will start stress cracking first, btw...
