Anyone just do this setup and not change the shock, struts, etc.?? Any problems?? Not trying to put a ton of money into the setup, just trying to lower the car. Any input will help. I can put the panhard bar if I need it, but I'm hoping that will be it to make the car ride OK. As long as it handles as good as it did from the factory I'm great with it.

I asked this question a while back. and everyone said u can do it. Panhard bar will be needed. They said LCA will get rid of the added wheelhop but not needed. but everything else is not needed asap. Shocks and struts will wear faster. but thats it.

Thanks for the input. My car only has 6k miles on it and I'm not trying to have to replace the almost new shocks and struts. Seems like a waste of money. I'm almost tempted to just sell the springs I just bought and leave it as is for awhile. Seems like a lot of issues out there with camber and handling issues.

Done a bunch of these lowering springs for customer's cars.
Do yourself a favor and get camber plates not camber bolts $95 extra and an adjustable PHB $90 - Steeda brand.
Don't cheap out I did one car the cheap way and now I make people spend $185 more to do it right every time because it's just not a satisfactory result otherwise.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

Where can I get camber plates for that price??? I'm not really sure how they work. I thought they went at the top of the tower, but then I see the TacoBill install and they go on the struts and the factory holes have to be drilled. I'm pretty savy on engines and super great with electronics/stereos, but I'm dumb when it comes to suspension.
What is the best/cheapest brand of plates to get and where can I get them????
I think you're right I don't want to do it the cheep way. I'm doing this DIY, BTW.

Are you talking about the Steeda adjustable Caster/Camber Strut plates??? So these do mount on the top of the tower not on the side of the strut. So these are easily adjustable and don't use shims like the other things I saw on the TacoBill post??????

If you're DIY that alignment might be tricky.
If you look at the cheapest camber plates on ebay or google shopping they are only $95 more than the BMR camber bolts.
The advantage of camber plates is they adjust camber without changing the geometry of the suspension which is an undesirable change to make.
My recommendation for the best camber plate is the Maximum Motorsports one:
The other advantage of using this is that it also acts as a strut mount as you see. The stock strut mounts are a bad design and I would estimate 20% of people get a metal on metal squeek from a lowering spring install from. This eliminates the squeek in addition to keeping your suspension geometry.
My car had the squeek problem from installing the Steeda suspension, even though the install was done right it still squeeked because it had the pre 07 strut mounts that were very prone to the squeek problem. Ford has redesigned the strut mounts 3 times so the problem gets better but replacing the whole strut mount is a benefit.
So you can go on google or the Maximum Motorsports one is the "best".

Awesome, You really cleared up some stuff for me, thanks. I plan on doing the install DIY, but of course, I'll have to take it in to a shop for the Alignment. I figure I better have the alignment redone after the springs settle, too.
I wasn't looking forward to using the camber kit like TacoBill used and I was apprehensive of reusing the factory plates. This solves both problems. The springs I bought came with camber bolts so they were essentially free. But I'll spring for some plates and do it right.
My car only has 6k miles on it, but It'll have a lot more fast (2 hour commute a day) should I just leave the stock shocks/struts on for now?? And put on some D-specs later when these wear out????
