I have this odd sound that is coming from the right rear end of my car when I go over hard bumps and washboard sections of road. It's like a dull but loud thud that matches the bumps in the road. Also, when I accelerate hard the rear end squats funny, like there is a shimmy or wiggle before settling.

I have the suspension mods in my sig. I was thinking it was a shock mount or the shock itself, but I was hoping for some input before I take it to the dealer/shop. The car has 47K on the clock, mostly hwy miles. It is my only car so if I had a direction for the mechanic to go in that would save me time, I will have to get a rental and so getting the problem solved quick would be nice.

I have never had a bad shock make noise on the road... just when i push on that corner of the car you could hear the shock sucking air. but then the entire outside of it was coated in oil too, so it was a gimme that it was bad.

I think you just need to sheck for lose part, torque al parts.
