Has anyone taken this setup to the race track ie: track day, HPDE, auto-x? I am curious how it will hold up. Ideally I want the Koni 'Yellow' struts with the Steeda Sport springs but the price difference is just far too great for my current budget so, I was thinking of starting with this set-up and upgrading the struts later.
Thoughts?

The power of the mind, just like how people think a TB spacer gives them power .

So are you planning to get up close and personal with the S197 suspension or take it somewhere? It's a fairly simple setup. Now If I could just setup alignment plates in my garage I could stop spending hundreds on alignments!

I bought a brand new jack I've been waiting to use. Never been out of the box yet.
I am going to have contacts on standby.......I think..... lol.

You're going to want to have a breaker bar on hand for those lower strut to spindle bolts the first time removal. They're pretty damn tight from the factory. Everything else comes apart pretty easily. Compressing the spring is a PITA as well.
Also a short bungie in about 6-12'' length is handy to support the spindle when it's apart.
Oh yeah another tip is to loosen the upper strut mount nut (just break it loose, don't remove until the spring is compressed!) while the thing is ON THE CAR. It's a pita to get off once the strut is out.

I knew TacoBill had great writeups, but I never really paid attention before because I didn't really have a need. Now I do, and thank you for providing these links. They will super come in handy next weekend.
