I just got off the phone with Pirelli and the stock 245/45R19 is 27.7" in diameter and is 9.9" wide. The 275/40R19 is 27.6" in diameter and is 11.1" wide. I just ordered a set of 4 tires and wheels and I will post pics when they are installed.

Take it from a former '10 GT owner, but got rid of it for the '11 V6, who had the 245/45/19's as you did, went with a 295 on rear and only 255's up front and I felt I lost that confidence in corners, the 245's realy felt like a dropped cat in corners, and the 255's gave me move of a floating feeling, probably to due with side wall size going down, but before I decided I said to myself, if these 245's hold this well the 255's should be awsome, but i was diasappointed, the 245's performed better to me....that's my 2 cents, good luck.

255 and 295 what? And what were the tires you used? There is more at work there than the width alone. The sidewall height, tire construction, compound, etc. are all at play here...

You go that wider of course smaller side wall, why going lower than 45 going feel different 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 Toyo proxy 2

I will try to post pictures when I get them mounted on my mustang. From all that I've read, they should be fine.

not anymore nuke, I got rid of the dog gt lol for the fast '11 v6 ,,,but that is in shop from a crash at the track....but with that car i have the 235/50/18's and like them, since crash was 80% suspension stuff insurance is allowing a upgrade since some aftermarket is less than stock stuff like 4 new gt500 wheels with brembos, anf ford track pack, ford racing rear end...

Stock

Brembo

Yesterday I got the call that my tires and wheels were ready. When I got there, I noticed that they ordered a staggered set, 9" wide in front with 245's and 10" wide in back with 275's. Both sets were really stretched. I had him put a 275 on the 9" wheel like I originally ordered and it looks great! Not stretched and not too wide for the wheel. Now they have to order 2 more 9" wheels and 2 more 275's. I will report back when I get them on my GT.
