I'm running 275/40/18's all around. Other than some severe tramlining issues on rutted truck roads, it's a very stable ride. BUT, I'll be going the 255's front and 275's or 285's rear when it's time for new rubber. Besides reducing the tramline issue, I like the staggered look better.

Sorry about the pic. It's one of the few I have at work.

Did some "research" looking at used mustangs in Springfield yesterday.

Visually, did not see much if any difference in the 2 sizes. Even the "staggered" setup on a GT500 looked as wide as the 275's on a Roush.

Nice looking Mustang Nuke!

First time seeing your car from a different angle other than the rear. I didn't know your were a hood scoop guy...

LMR has a package that includes the 275/40/18's. American Muscle has a package that includes 255/45/18. I think this is the size GT500's had on the fronts, at least.
I don't know how much, if any 5% less sidewall will make.

Anyone running this combo without issue? They'll be going on my 06 vert v6. Please, post pics.

Thanks.
AM has that size in a package but you can order wheels and tires separate and pick the 275/40/18 and it is around $50 more

I was thinking of going with a 285/40 or maybe a 295/45 on the rear. I am going to send off my 18" bullits and have them widened to 10 or 10.5". I was thinking if I did the 295/45 and changed my rear gears to 4.10s it would be like having 3.90s. What do you all think?

Looks great. How much of a drop?
Most 275s look small without substantial lowering.

Cheers.
