Default Does an aftermarket panhard rod make noise?

I am not sure but, I think I can hear a small amount of noise coming from the rear end of my 2011 after installing a UMI panhard rod. I would not expect that to be the case. Just wondering what you all think. I usually hear it when I am slowing down for a stop light or stop sign. Just a mild bit of sound that I don't recall hearing before I installed the panhard rod. If the music is loud or I am in gear and my Roush axle back is making noise, I can't hear it. It's very faint.

What did you get on your panhard, Poly or rod ends?

Is the PHB adjustable? The adjustment points came a little loose on me once. Made a horrible clanging noise over EVERY bump I hit. Jacked her up, banged around on some parts with a giant crescent wrench until something was making indicating noises. Sure enough...loose adjustment points on my PHB.

If you got rod-ends they are gonna make noise for sure.

Also, if you got an adjustable one, it could be coming loose.

I did get an adjustable one and the jam nuts are not loose, I checked those. This is the UMI 1042 that Strano sells. It has the spherical rod end/polyurethane bushing combination. So, maybe this is normal? I don't mind it as long as it is to be expected.

Yup, it's the rod-end you are most likey hearing. Almost sounds like a loose bolt somewhere, that's just the rod-end articulating. It's even worse with the 1055 like I have which has rod-ends on both sides.

I have the UPR Pro Street adjustable panhard bar on my car. It has poly bushings at both ends and doesn't make any noise.

I doubt its a new rod end although a defect is always possible. I've had plenty of rod ends on my cars and when new they have been quiet. Now over time....thats a different story. At about 25K they get real annoying.
