SCCA autox and 12 GT track pack class
when i first got my boss 302 on order, it was expected to go in f stock along with all the other NA stangs. then they pushed it to b stock. now the car is pushed to a stock. things change quickly.
the question i have is this, i have a friend that is thinking about a 12 gt track pack car with recaros. that can has the torsen and 99% of the boss parts and with the 12 power bump they are very close power wise and liekly to be a drivers race. basically its a boss 302 minus the forged internals, 20hp, and adjustable dampers. with the boss in a stock it would stand to reason that the 12 track pack cars wont get to run in f stock. anyone know where those cars will fall for autox? im thinking it wont be f-stock, perhaps b stock where the boss was originally.

Here's a link to the Solo rules:

According to the 2012 Solo Rules .pdf document, your friend's Track Pack GT Mustang will fall under F Stock. I see nothing about the Track Pack bumping it up/down a class.

Does the Track Pack come with the 3.73 gears 18 or 19" rims and what is redline. Top speed in 2nd gear is critical and the Boss with 3:73 gears 295/30 19 and 7500 redline only hits 64 mph which is really not enough.

it would be 19's and 3:73, but red line would be 7k like the other GTs.

My gear speed calculator running 295/30 19 Hoosiers, which is about the largest you can squeeze on the rims, top speed in 2nd gear would be only 57.31mph which is to slow for most National style SCCA courses. Shifting would be the downfall.

yeah most of these guys serious about autox will be going to 18" wheels anyway. the boss owners really got hosed getting bumped to AS by default me thinks.
