'Stangs that go thump in the night(and day)
So I climb in my faithful steed for the ride home from work. I get up to 25mph and notice a steady thumping sound eminating from the passenger side rear end. I look underneath, and see nothing but what looks like oil on the tire. I decide to drop by the dealership because now I'm thinking warranty. The guy drives it and confirms that something's wrong, but it's going to be looked at tomorrow at the earliest. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? The oil on the tire leads me to suspect a shock, but not a brake rotor. It tracks straight and true, hands off at highway speed and the sound is not noticeable above 40 mph. I just want an idea of what to expect from the dealer because this is turning into a nightmare! They gave me a rental car, Enterprise said all they had available was a Toyota Yaris, but they ended up taking it away from me and giving me a Chrysler mini-van.
Just shoot me now.
