Thanks for all the info. I haven't had the car long and it is my first Mustang. Mine just has the stock 16 inch wheels. Not sure how wide and in my original post I was just trying to get an idea of what size I can go with without causing clearance issues.

So if I go with GT wheels like the 18's I have to use a spacer n the front?

What brand wheels are those. I have read that some brands have the caliper clearance issue where some don't. I was looking at a set from American Muscle.

Yeah, this is my first Mustang and I have only had it a few months but I have all these ideas for it. Problem is I don't have as much money as I have ideas.

Thanks again
they are the stock GT/CS wheels I bought them off of Craigslist for 300 bucks and they have brand new tires on them you dont have to spend a ton of money to upgrade to something much nicer just keep your eyes open for deals you just have to find them. You dont need spacers like I mentioned before my stock front calipers did rub slightly at first it was an easy fix I just used a file to remove just enough of the caliper so they no longer rubbed we're talking less than a milimeter.

The ones that came stock on the GT/CS (as well as the other OEM GT wheel pictured in the thread) are 18x8.5. The caliper clearance is literally a paper width from the spoke to the bracket (on the GT/CS wheels the other ones are fine). You will rub in full lock turns but it's no big deal, just do them and you won't have a problem. I'm running 255/45-18's all around.
