What is Stock for 2011 V6 Suspension?
I've searched threads for hours and can't figure it out...what is stock? I bought my car used and don't know if all the suspension is stock or maybe some of it is already upgraded. I know for sure I have the Mustang Club of America (MCA) package.
Here's what I have:
Front swaybar is 33.2mm tubular
Rear swaybar is 22.0mm solid
Panhard bar is about 1 inch, non-adjustable
Lower rear control arms look just like Shelby, but not sure if they are.
Everything looks identical to pictures of the Performance Package (PP) upgrades (including the brakes), but I don't think the car came with PP. I did not have the tower strut brace, 19-inch wheels or engine cover (I've since added the strut brace, and the wheels are 18-inch for the MCA package). The gap from the bottom of the front fenders to the top of the tires is about 2 inches. Back is about 3 inches.
I'd like to lower the car a bit for improved cornering (better looks are a nice side-effect), and have seen that others recommend changing the panhard bar and upgrading the swaybars, as well as the struts and shocks. Bottom line - I'm looking to improve handling and think I can do that by lowering the car (maybe 1.5 front and back). Obviously I need to change the springs to do this - what else should I do while I'm at it?
Thanks in advance for any help!
