Play between wheels and axle

Play between wheels and axle
Today, I installed some springs on my '12 GT. After installing the rears, I put my rear wheels back on the studs to tighten them and noticed that there is play between the wheels and axle. I removed the wheel and held the rotor and moved it back and forth and could feel a slight play (maybe 1mm or less) of play.
The movement is very little, but I've never noticed this before and I'm just wondering if that is something I should have looked at.
Does anything have any knowledge on this issue?
Thanks

*Had posted another thread in the suspension sub forum as well, as I wasn't sure in which sub forum it needed to be in.

Are you sure the play is between the axle and the wheel? It could be the play from having a c-clip live axle. There will always be a little play. If you take the wheel off and pull and push on the studs, is that where the movement is or are the wheels just not on tight enough?

Sorry for the late reply.
I haven't had a chance to remove the wheel again. While the wheel was off previously, I noticed the play when I pushed/pulled on the rotor and then again with the wheel on when I pushed/pulled the wheel. Again, the play is very little. I just had never noticed it before which concerned me.
