I had already bought GT500 strut mounts and Eibach camber bolts for my up-coming suspension project, now this thread has me wondering if I should try to make my money back and invest in J&M, MM, or Steeda....

Damn budgets...

I hear ya on the budget thing, I'm taking my sweet time buying parts... saving up bit at a time

i need a project and havnt worked on my car in a while, the one thing that brings me happiness and solace, short of playing Black Ops 2. since I cant afford that red 2012 Boss 302 at the dealership with 2,000 miles on it, I might as well make my car into something that can handle better...

Actually, many of the cheaper plates are made with the understanding you will be doing a lot of maintenance to your car. Maintenance like changing out the upper bearing frequently or greasing an unsealed and open to the elements Torrington bearing.

The Vorshlag plates use a two-bearing arrangement and hugely oversized bearings to give a lot more longevity to our plates without any need for frequent greasing, oiling or bearing replacements.

That, and the fact they are US made are the reasons they cost so much.
