Especially in cases like this where a 4 mph difference out toward 140 mph would be the difference between having to briefly grab 5th or not.

Yep, I get it. I usually don't wind it out that far (6750). I always just "feel" it, now. After a while, you just "know" when you need to be in a different gear.

I have 3.73 gears and 18's with 265/40R18's I find on smaller road courses a longer 3rd would be nice as I find my self having to shift to 4th and then brake straight away. I have a base 12 with Brembo pack.

Just my 2 cents.

I would not get the 3.73 again.

Good stuff. Thanks for posting. 3.73 is off my shopping list now. Too bad, too, as it would make a lot of sense for me to get a Track Pack car, but I will likely just get a Brembo and eventually add parts to keep everything running cool.

Doesn't the Track Pack also get you an oil cooler and a better lsd? I'd get the Track Pack and change the gearing later if you still think you need to.

Track pack does get you said upgrades, and I'd consider that, but I can add the oil cooler and Boss radiator later on if I find them necessary. Swapping gears is something I'd rather avoid, even with the benefit of the torsen diff on the Track Pack. Could go either way I guess, but will likely start with something with a taller gear in it and work from there.
