Default 285/40/18 square set up

Recently put on 18x10 drift wheels with 43mm offset on all four with Nitto NT555 285/40/18

Lowered on Ultralites

No rubbing at full lock, 8 mm clearance on struts

-1.3 degrees neg camber

Wanted to post this since it has always been a huge debate if that wide of a tire and 10 inch wide wheels can fit without issues

Sweet...thanks for posting!!! Can you post front and rear shots to see how the 18x10s line up with the fenders?

If 43 fits then 30+ of offset should fit.

...wait.

right?

I really don't think that 18x10 +30 will work with 285/40 front tires unless you're willing to leave more wheel gap than most folks seem to want to.

+30 gives more clearance to the strut but puts you half an inch or so further out toward sheetmetal to outer shoulder rubbing. 8mm of strut clearance is plenty.

These wheels and tires are standard issue on S197 Roush Mustangs.

In +30? Really?

Even if it clears with the car just sitting there, I can't picture there being enough clearance to be able to drive it very hard.

285/35's on 18x10 +43-ish will fit without rubbing even with more lowering than there is difference in height between 285/40 and 285/35. 285/40's on these wheels clearing at OE ride height is expected.

Default Shelby razors 18x9

Norm knows his suspension. Thanks again for your contribution. I have a 40mm offset.
