Trying to prepare things as much as I can ahead of time in case this Northeast Winter ever decides to end and I can begin my suspension upgrade. I thought I might be able pre-assemble my front struts (Koni yellows) since I have the struts, springs and CC plates. After looking in the boxes, it looks like I'm short the lower spring isolators, bump stops and dust boots. Soooo, am I going to have to wait and get the old struts out, disassemble them and reuse the parts on my new struts?

They're not available separately from Ford or I would. Pretty cheesy to get shorted <$10 worth of plastic parts when spending nearly $1K.

I'm in the same boat. Tried finding some strut assemblies at salvage yards in my area, but came up completely empty.

Hrm. I thought my P springs came with isolators. Assuming you're lowering the car, I'd go with the FRPP bump stops anyway.

if you've got a compressor/impact and spring compressors the swap is like 10 - 15 minutes per strut.

I just installed Koni Str.Ts last weekend. i wouldn't sweat preassembly.

it helps if you've ever done macpherson struts in general before though.

Thats what i had to do. My oranges or Str.Ts didnt come with anything but themselves lol. As you do the swap, use the old parts like the boot and bumpstops and install your yellows. I took my time it was fairly easy, like 30 minutes per side, made sure I cleaned up the boots and stops with silicon spray.
