I've been running -1.8° camber and zero toe for years. The tire wear is fairly even, but I always push it in the corners.

I have been at -2.3 degrees on RE-11s for 10,000 miles, ten autocrosses, driven in three snow storms (highly unusual for southeastern Virginia), and two mustangs (due to a friend totaling my first one in May) without uneven wear.

the shop blamed some of the uneven wear on the poor tires(continental contiprocontact) they were more of an all season tire, than my new ones I have now, but I don't want to find out after the fact that the new ones are wearing unevenly also. My latest plan is to return the camber to around -1.2 and using maximum motorsports digital camber guage move it to maybe -2 for track days and then back to the aligned setting after. the only issue is how much toe out will be created by moving from the aligned street setting to whatever I move it to for the track. I know some toe out is good for performance, but is hard on the inside edge of the tires, I guess we will see

Well if you're worried about the toe out being hard on the tire during track days, you probably shouldn't be doing track days haha. You have to accept the fact that your tire is a consumable, and it is going to have to be replaced sooner than usual. But while you are on the street, it makes sense to switch it back to stock setting. That's what I do: -1.2 on the street, -2.2 on the track.

how do you know what camber you are moving it to? Do you have a do it yourself guage?

No. I had my shop measure the camber at both ends of my plates. All the way inside (the "race" setting) is -2.2, and all the way outside (the "street" setting) is around -1.2. The camber plates I have (J&M) only have like a degree of adjustability anyways, so I just push them all the way in and out whenever I am swapping my wheels. If you have a plate with more range of adjustability, you can have your shop make marks of the different camber adjustments.
