Default Prepping for spring install. How to avoid clunks and front-end pops?

I'm filling up my shopping cart full of suspension goodies for the boss lady's mustang. (09 GT/CS) So far, I've got Eibach Pro springs and an adj. PHB. Considering the low miles and my budget, I'm leaving the factory struts/shocks for now.

On my car, I did the same and used camber bolts to get my alignment back in order. In doing my research over the past week, I realized how lucky I got with not having my OE strut mounts fall apart on me. That led me down a long research road today trying to make sense of camber plates vs Steeda HD Mounts and even the GT500 strut mount upgrade (available on AM) that, from my understanding, will not work with the 09 GT factory struts?

So what is the recommended approach if I'm keeping factory struts? Obviously, I could just use bolts like I did on my own car and call it a day but I'm not sure I want to set her car up with the same uncertainty that mine has. Spending a bit more to get a dependable setup that doesn't clunk or suffer that famous "front end pop" we've all read about would certainly be appealing. I just need to know WHAT to buy...

EDIT: After searching around, it is stupid to not go ahead and buy Koni's. Now WITH aftermarket struts, what is the best route?
