Post The New M/T Street Comp 305/35-20" tires & UPR Rear ADJ Coil Over Springs kit ...

Guys,

The M/T tires & UPR Coil over rear lift kit just arrived by UPS.

Called DBR about installing the rear-coil-over lift kit.

I think that's gonna take place this Thursday.

Here are some pics. for those interested.

Where you see the picture of the yard stick it is actually on the Left Edge looking straight down even though it does not look like that in the picture.

Thought some of you might like to see that to give you a rough idea of the width.

Andy,

See post below this for an up-date on install.

I will let you know for sure what they are like once I get them installed and put some miles on them.

Scott2,

Man they are some really-really healthy tires for sure.

I'm looking forward to getting them installed for sure.

Guys,

Here is the up-date on the new M/T tires.

They will "Not" be installed (Before) Bobby & I deliver it to Brenspeed on Monday the 15th of September.

I received a message from Brent/Brenspeed late last night and he said don't install the new tires.

I want your Bullitt Mustang delivered back to me exactly like it left here.

So the Mickey Thompson set of 4-tires will be installed after it comes back to me from Brenspeed in October.

Well guys,

This is probably not what you were hoping to see and read but here goes.

The Bullitt Mustang is up North at Brenspeed Engineering & Performance in Pierceton, IN.

They are waiting on Comp Cams for some Custom parts to be made.
So until that happens they cannot complete their work on it.
Also they are pulling the TCI SSF (Super Street Fighter) transmission.
They are shipping it to TCI to have it completely freshened-up.

So back to the M/T tires ............

As it stands my local Discount Tire Store has the 275 tires for the front for me.
In my garage are the rear 305 tires.

You ask the difference between the 255 & 275 tires ???

The 255/35/20 tread width is 9.1" on a 9" wheel.

The 275/35/20 tread width is 9.7" on a 9.5" wheel.

I have the M/T 9.5" SC-5 front wheels so my tread width will be the 9.7".

My rear M/T 10.5" SC-5 rear wheels so my tread width will be 305/35/20 I'll have 10.6".

Below is a picture of the rear-end of mine that has the 275/35/20" tires on the 10.5" rear M/T SC-5 wheels.
Beside it is the 305/35/20" tire just to give some rough idea of the difference between them.

I'll do my best to remember to come back and post pics of the new tire M/T set-up.

It will be sometime though I think.
