I'm sure they'd be strong enough, but for anything more serious than occasional/casual autocrossing you're really going to want shocks & struts with firmer damping.

Norm, will bmr rear springs go well with Koni yellows? American Muscle started the Spring Koni Sale & I got yellows for $490.00. I have 1 1/2" drop springs for the front already. I plan to get J&M plates soon.

As far as the spring stiffness is concerned, the yellows have more than enough adjustability to keep them under control. Whether they allow for enough bump travel for your driving at 1.5" lowering is kind of a separate question and outside my own experience. Maybe call Sam Strano or shoot kelly@bmrsuspension.com an email or a PM if you know which other Mustang forums he participates in (I can't seem to find him here, not that that's proof of anything).

Love my STR.T's. Maybe the best mod I have done.

Default 2014 DIB 3.7 w/ sport shift "Blue Cyclone"

Thanks for the reply Norm, I contacted BMR and they advised sp067 rear springs as the spring rate is higher. I have SR front springs and would like to get the use out of them. I enjoy running through the twisty's & want the best ride height. Is 1 1/2" drop too much Norm? I will have BMR poly rear lca's.

1.5" is probably crowding the limits, though the SP067's are at least out there toward the stiff end of the range for most lowering springs (BMR claims the 067's are 200 lb/in). A guy on another MMustag forum is running the yellows with Steeda Sport springs, which are a few lb/in less stiff, in a car that sees DD, autocross, and (as of fairly recently) road course time. They seem to be OK other than not being a very good setup for washboard roads.

I still wouldn't want to load the car up with heavy back seat passengers or the trunk with a few hundred lbs of, say, transmissions, cylinder heads, or home improvement supplies.

Personally, I'm not really a fan of that much lowering (would prefer something like BMR's 065 kit for rates with only about half as much lowering), but that's me rather than it being a huge fail for everybody.
