Default How to remove rear shock top bolt (2007 GT)

I want to replace the rear shocks on my 2007 GT. I put some PB Blaster on the top bolt, waited a few minutes (although I see no rust), but I can't get the top bolt off. Instructions say to put a 7mm open wrench on the top flat, but a 6mm fits perfectly. I ended up breaking two 6mm Craftman wrenches trying to get it off. The bottom bolt turns, but I just can't seem to break it loose. Are there any tips or tricks? or better tools?

the top of the rear shocks is not a bolt but a nut. you need to hold the threaded portion with the 6 or 7 mm wrench while loosening the nut below it, 14 or 15 mm open end wrench IRRC. good luck

I ended up getting it by using an adjustable, and letting it press on the car. Thanks.
