Need to lower the car just a lil. Cut factory springs???
Has anyone on here just cut their factory springs slightly to get it .75-1" lower? I'm thinking it would only require cutting 1/2-3/4 of a coil and would not affect handling too much. Any thoughts on this or anyone done it?

If I was going to cut springs, I wouldn't start with the OE springs for whatever car I was working on. Among other reasons, you don't gain enough spring rate to make up for the reduced suspension bump travel.
I have cut springs before, just not any car's originals.

Yeah, I've cut a half coil out of camaro springs before and had zero issues. But I've never messed with mustang springs, that why I was curious if anyone has real life experience with it. Maybe I'll just buy some lowering springs, I don't know.

I kind of had the 'P' springs in mind when I posted. It might depend on how willing OP is to go all the way to 1", and I can understand people who might not be. Then again, it may be possible to shim one end of the 1" springs to take a little of the drop out. I know I've seen such things for the previous generation's struts.
