the only other issue I'm wondering is since I am going from a 19 to an 18 I will have a slightly taller sidewall, will that yield a noticeable decrease in handling?
You might well gain more from moving up to 10" wide wheels than you "lose" from having fractionally taller sidewalls. I'll bet that you wouldn't see any difference in sidewall bulge, which is a crude hint at handling "feel" - IOW, how responsive and precise it'll feel.

Do you drive in the rain? If so, how do the invo's do?
Sometimes. They've been great in the rain, I was surprised. Just don't drive in the rain when your tread only has 20% left.. Pretty sketchy. Just got new fronts again for winter
I just ordered the SVE drift wheels dark stainless, (18x9/10) staggered. On sale this week! I decided to not get the tires yet as the wheel / tire packages weren't on sale. I'm excited!
