Default Wheel offset of stock 17"

Fresh newbie here...what is the backspace/or offset of the stock 2006 GT 17"x7" (I presume) wheels??

My goal: to install 9" wide and want get the correct bs/offset. And I want to be able to rotate the wheels every few years. I have the convertible if that matters.

And as you guess, I recently sold my 1968 Impala 427 for several reasons.

Onto new adventures!!!

Just go to a Mustang oriented online store and you'll get the right wheels.
LMR.com (Where I bought my wheels)
Americanmuscle.com
cjponyparts.com
etc...

+45 (17 x 8J)

Got that from two separate sources, FRPP catalog and the MVMS document for 2005 (same chassis).

The 18" GT500 wheels are 18 x 9.5" with a +45 offset and will fit a 'regular' GT with no problems. Run 255/45-18 tires for stock tire diameter, 275/40-18 or possibly 265/40-18 tires if you want wider and don't mind the tires being a little shorter. You may need to invest in different steering stops for any 18" wheel, FRPP or other. Or else be careful to avoid cranking the steering wheel all the way against the existing stops . . . I've been running these wheels with both 255/45 and 265/40 tires with no rubbing whatsoever.

+1 on the rubbing. I have 18" Shelby CS69's running 275/40-18 on all 4. first time I pulled into a parking spot I pulled the drivers front fender liner out. Roush has a kit for $11 that has some nylon spacers you can put on the steering rack to solve this.
