Shelby GT

RE: Shelby GT
As I have said before in these forums. If anybody wants to know why people are willing to spend the extra money on a Shelby all they have to do is go and pick up the new Shelby magazine and flip to the very back page. There they will find a chart that shows all the values of every model ever produced including the 07-08 SGT. That should quiet them a little. However, they will be hard pressed to find anybody willing to state what a standard GT will be worth in 20 or 40 years. Keep a Shelby for 20 years and you are pretty much garranteed to get back every penny back of which you spend today. Again, a standard GT will probably be worth a whopping 5-7 grand then. I think I know which I will continue to purchase.

And as has been pointed out, only the Shelby GT is a "real" Shelby, the GT500 is not.

RE: Shelby GT
The GT500 not a real Shelby? That's out of context.
I do understand what you are saying, it really is made and assembvled 100% by Ford. Carol drove it around, and approved it. that's why he allows his name on it.
The Shelby GT is built in Dearborn, Michigan, then shipped to Shelby in Las Vegas to have all the Shelby stuff added.
In reality, Shelby auto actually has more to do with the GT then the GT500, but still authorized by Shelby.
Yes, they are both Shelby's, just one is actually built on in Las Vegas. Hopethat ties up all the ends.
