Thinking of getting a shelby gt350

But to directly answer your retort- at the end of the day, you have spent 40-45k on a used '09 GT. People who spend extra to buy a Shelby dont typically do it because they are trying to get competitive in a thrifty manner. If I had the choice to spend 45k on a used 4.6 GT, or a brand new 2012 or 2013 BOSS 5.0, I think I wouldnt be buying an old s197 4.6.
But Im pretty happy with my GT350, and I think you underestimate it a bit. I am well over 600 RWHP at this point with little more than a pulley swap and CAI change. Sure, I spent an extra 20k that didnt go to directly enhancing performance, but Ive got a car you just dont see everyday, and it dominates on the track.

Hey bud,
Feel free not to read a thread once in a while if we are an inconvenience to your busy life.
This is my 4th post on this site- hardly qualifies me as a post *****. But thanks much for your craptacular post of bitching and moaning. You must have quite the popular life to have time on your weekends to troll old threads.

I love the look of the new GT350 or even better the deep draft hood on the 2012 Shelby but they don't have the back of the GT350. If you're going for a bit more nostalgic look the Shelby GT350 has it plus I find it more sophisticated than the GT500 which looks a bit over done. Not that I don't like over done I do. If I had the disposable income I'd get the GT350 just cost too much. Too bad they don't sell some of the parts.
