I highly advise all 2008 SGT owners to go crazy and mod like hell. Then, in the future, when they are forced to sell their cars, their potential buyers can come see mine to see what the stock Shelby looked like!
I'll make a fortune in consulting fees! LOL!

bigsky, the registry is only available for entering vehicle info at the moment. i'm not sure what the time-line is for being able to view it, but i know that it's been in the works for well over a year... http://registry.teamshelby.com/

Thats what I thought but seems pretty useless without the ability to use it for research & verification.

I can see where some people would be concerned about the car losing value. But to be honest, you won't lose a ton of value unless you go over the extreme edge and turn it into rice.
maybe in 20-30 yrs a stock car will be worth a ton...but right now, the Shelby GT and cars like my Bullitt are only worth about $2-3k more than a normal GT. On a good day.
For those who do tasteful mods like Nite has done, you can actually increase the value. To some people, I have already committed the unthinkable. I put Shelby Hood (non-letter style) pins onto my stock hood...so now I've got 2 1" unrepairable holes.
oh well. it looks damn good IMO. even if the purists are angered. my car, my money. I didn't buy the car to bank on it being worth more $$$ later on down the road. I bought it because the Shelby GT next to it was WAY overpriced, the 2010 GT on the other side was FUGLY, I coulnd't afford the Roush P-51, and my Bullitt was a damn good deal
next up is a GT500 Upper/Lower Bumper so my car can smile back at me. you should hear some of the crap I've gotten over that decision from the purists

I know exactly what you mean, Tylus, and I concur with everything you've stated. Your Bullitt looks great and it will look awsome when you do the GT500 front clip (no matter what others think). Thanks for the props, man, and good luck with your mods! Looking forward to seeing the transformation!
