Default KR selling over MSRP

I went to 1 of my local Ford dealers today to see the KR in the show room. there it was , I didnt take a pic of it since I was at the SAI last friday and know what they look like inside and out. They had a black one at msrp 82k, with a dealer markup of 100k WTF are these guys smokin, 182k plus Tax, NO F-ing way. If you guys get one at your local Ford stealership go in and ask them how they can justify this CRAP.

I wonder if YOU sold Mustangs why what price would YOU ask? Some price pulled out of thin air?
Would a $20,000 markup be all you'd ask?
$10,000???

The markup is set based on the demand for the car.
No justification is needed.
It is also not the true price of the car, but is a way to keep the car in the dealer's showroom as long as possible until they find someone with more money than good sense.

Anyone who can afford it could easily talk them down to $150,000 if they were serious.

yes and no.....lets face it...I did not pay over MSRP for my gt500...however if you look at what they were paying for the gt500 when they first came out....some upwards of 20k over...so with about 9500 gt500 in 2007...so now the demand was there for it...so now you have a car that has 10% of that inventory nationwide..so it should fare a comparable markup based on demand vs. product....would i pay that..absolutely not...but as long as people will...why not ask it...plus as someone else said..that is simply the way of weeding out those who are jsut window shopping and only entice the actual buyers...lets face it..if you walk into a car lot and tell them you will give them 100-115k ...they would jump at it....again..would I do it...absolutely not...but people will...you will see...

Someone with money to burn and with not a care about how much it costs will buy it just to have it...like Jay Leno.

Patience is a virtue. My GT 500 was on the showroom floor for $62,000, the dealer refused $75,000 at the height of the hype when they were released. I bought it Saturday for $4000 under sticker. It's a 2007--never been licensed or titled--brand new.

why should they sell the KR to you when there's a rich dude out there willing to pay 100K more than you?
