well just left the insurance agent The repair bill is a just a little more than a $1000 to fix my shelby..... actually allot more

to the tune of over $4,500

basically the insurance rep was very thorough...more thorough than what I expected...they will be replacing all of the textured black nose pieces...the grille..upper and lower....the splitter....the cobra emblem...the stripes all the way back to the windhshield....there was 1 nick in the roof line, but rather than break the factory paint there I will live with it....see what body shop can do touch it up...both gt500 stripes on side will be replaced as fender needs to be repainted....bumper and hood removed and sanded...primer...repaint and clear coat...new oem windshield...basically all lighting assemblies in the nose need to be replaced..mirrors removed and repainted...fenders need to be repainted in front and blended in...overall over a weeks worth of time to complete...getting with Ford dealer tomorrow so they can order all the parts......well I guess this is what we pay our insurance for...but it still does not stop me from feeling sick to my stoumach right now......I will be taking pics for my own records and show the damage this a-hole caused.....

dude, i dont know how you let this guy go. The other day i made a little kid cry cause he let his car door hit my mirror. I would have done anything possible to catch the guy and get him to pay for the damages, including running red lights, and getting out of the car in traffic with a baseball bat.

dont take this the wrong way, but whats the use of having 540rwhp if u let some like this go?

Wow! $4500 worth of damage. Whoever did this must be a moron you should have written down his tag and reported it to the police right away. Kudos to you for staying calm and not kicking his ass.

it does suck...to answer a few comments....for me to pursue him and caught him on a busy state road 60 with allot of traffic and on the way to pick up my 17 year old daughter..what if i catch him? threaten him ...end up in jail...lose my job....or end up shot.....who knows these days....couldnt get his plate number as it was spitting rocks on my car and couldnt see the plate plus as mentioned before, at the chance of hurting someone else...to me not worth it..I will see this punk again one day and I will settle it with him in my own way...but it doesnt matter if had 1000hp....what would I have proved if I did catch him and end up in jail..im too old / mature to do that...try explaining that to a 10 year old boy and 17 year old girl (my kids) and say...hey kids thats how you deal with problems in society today ....sorry now kids visiting hours are over dad needs to back to his cell....not worth it,,,too much to lose.....job, freedom, possibly injure an innocent bystander and sends wrong message as a father to his children....believe me I would have loved to beat him like a red headed step child...but cooler heads prevailed....

he just lowered the value of your car,

gave it a carfax history

made your insurance probably go up

not intentional, more like a spur of the moment
