Default MP3 Volume?

On my 09 Shelby I cant adjust the volume on my Ipod when its playing through aux input on the shaker 1000? On my old 07gt, with the shaker 500 I could adjust the volume on my ipod making the volume on the Ipod almost at its max and having the volume on the head unit about 1/2, giving me more volume. Am I missing something.... or the is the volume **** on the head unit the only way? It just does not get loud enough? Thanks guys.

I have no problems adjusting the volume on my i-phone? that is separate from the the head unit. The volume **** I adjust as normal. I usually set my I-phones volume at 3/4 and then adjust my shaker unit as needed. if I am understanding you correctly you are stating you can not adjust your i-pod volume itself? if so that has nothing to do with the shaker 1000 volume adjustment...its like plugging your I-pod into headphones and adjusting volume to any level you want. you should still be able to adjust your i-pods volume as normal. then adjust your headunit to a level that is optimum for you. the only draw back on adjusting your volume too high on any aux device going into the shaker aux plug is it coul cause distortion if you put the volume of your aux device too high...
