I didn't really go nuts on the drive home, but it felt somehow underwhelming. Then I read this from the gt500 supplement:
"Your Shelby GT500 power train control module strategy contains a feature to limit supercharger boost pressure and engine speed to 4000rpm for the first five consecutive miles of vehicle operation or 50 engine start/warm up cycles...If neither of these conditions have been satisfied prior to customer delivery full power will not be available."
Is that standard for the '09 and below as well? No matter, that 'five consecutive miles' part WILL be satisfied by noon today.

The nav/media/sirius touchscreen and voice system is pretty money. Ford really nailed the interface for this ****. I drove a 3-series, an A5, the Jag XK and XF and a CTS (no V unfortunately) and while there are some other obvious differences in interior refinement the center console and how it's controlled is definitely not one of them (also, no special 'dealer only' ipod cord). Maybe I'm just a Ford whore, but I think they've gotten it right when the same nav system you can get in a Fusion is easier to use than BMW's iDrive or whatever weak-sauce copy Audi is using now.

Grats man, can't wait to get mine. So was it sweet when you had been driving it for 4 miles and then all of a sudden it was like BAM when the s/c kicked in?
