Shopping & buying this car was definitely a different experience. It was amazing to hear most of the dealers that I talked to say that they had these cars sitting for 200-300 days and then they would still hold firm on their price?? I would tell them that I was a serious buyer and that I WAS going to be buying one and all they had to do was meet me on the price. Some held firm and some came down around $1,000-$2,000....I would just walk away explaining that I now understood why they had their cars for so long and that until they were willing to really negotiate in these economic times they would have them for another 200-300 days.
Since buying, I've had some of the dealers that were "proud" of their cars call me asking if I was still in the market....I just laugh saying, nope, I found a dealer that really wanted to sell their car and wanted my business.

Good deal man, the car looks great. I know what you mean about some of the dealers out there... I guess they like running museums instead of a business. I've never NOT gotten a fair price I wanted on a car. I just go from dealer to dealer and tell them what the last guy did/said. Eventually you'll find one wanting to make the other guy look bad, and it usually happens on the second one.

They all were asking 36K for them and absolutely refused to drop the price even a grand. They all told me they had more into the car and were already taking a loss on it. Some of them had been there for a year already.
As a general rule if a dealer won't drop the price even a bit I usually get stubborn about it myself. Two can play that game.

here's a pic of it lowered.....made an appointment yesterday to get my performance mods done in two weeks on Tues, 21-Jul......JLT intake, 2.6 upper pulley, double bearing auxillary pulley & dyno tune on a Mustang Dyno
