Congrats Pats - I think going from a GT to a GT500 is the ultimate "mod". Good work.

First congrats>>>Good luck with the new beast....sold my 05 a year ago or so and bought my 2008 gt500 Blue with White...now mods....wow...the list could be endless...but identify your goals before you start for sure...my goals were not to mod....you can see where I am at.... (modding and continuing to do so)

break down what you want and allot of us here can give you our countless opinions on the subject of modding the GT500

Hi.all.Thanks for the responses.I have been busy with real life and (mostly) enjoying the new ride!!!!.(what a strange clutch!)Have been reading the different forums to reduce redundant questions, but i do have a couple right off.Hood struts-anyone using them?what kind?,how do you like them?Has anyone addressed the wheel hop in these cars?I had roush rear springs, che lca's and relocation brackets in my '06 gt auto which pretty much solved the problem.Do you think these parts(I still have them),will work in the gt500?Well thats about it for now,got some vacation time coming up so will have some time to get some pics up then.Oh,the cars an'09,vista blue mettallic, white stripes, black interior.till next time...

I dont know if they will definitely work.I dont think the springs will but I could be wrong...I went with the J&M Billet LCAs, Double Adjsutable UCA, and BMR Adjustable Panhard Bar and Brace.. also went with the FRPP lowering springs which lowered it nicely all the way around and I did NOT need to get any camber bolts or plates as my camber was easily brought in line with the front end alignment

Power boosters
Went with FRPP Cold Air Intake, VMP 2.65 stock looking pulley (which believe me dealers have not even noticed the change)

have on order to eliminate the heat soak issues these cars have a Shelby / C&R Heat Exchanger: this will lower inner air temps by 40 degrees on avg thus stopping the car from getting hot and the PCM pulling timing which in turn reduces boost and power etc: The best heat exchanger on the market BAR NONE...allot of people went with the AFCO...but I tell you that to save your money a little longer and get the right one...period...it is proven and it blows away the competition.....

Next up will be a new throttle body by L&M which will increase my rwhp by 10-18 and ulitmately will prepare my car for more air flow for my supercharger upgrade down the road..the drivability of the L&M throttle body is better than the whipple single blade etc...

also will upgrade my plenum for more air flow etc.....

in this I will also need new meat for the rear wheels...a stickier tire as the stockers suck...

MY Goal WAS to leave it alone and not mod it at all.....LMAO....then my goal was to get to 545 rwhp...( I am there ) next my goal is 650-700 rwhp...so that is why I am going TVS next as the TVS is very efficient.....

you can go with porting if you dont want to change the supercharger....
